Coloplast, as part of the Westpomeranian MED HUB initiative, donated three state-of-the-art 3D printers for stereolithography (SLA) to the Department of Polymer and Biomaterials Science at WTiICh!
The equipment donation was made by Wojciech Faszczewski of Coloplast.
Stereolithography (SLA) is one of the most precise 3D printing technologies - it uses a laser beam to cure liquid resin layer by layer, creating highly accurate models with smooth surfaces. It is ideal for medical and engineering applications.
The new equipment will be used by researchers and students, especially those majoring in Engineering in Medicine, to:
- conduct research on modern material (polymer) technologies for the medical industry,
- develop cooperation with medtech companies,
- improve the quality of education and support student development.
