Prof. Miroslawa El Fray participated in the CHEMICAL INDUSTRY 2024 conference, which was held on December 3-5, 2024 in Warsaw. The event was organized by the Association of Engineers and Technicians of the Chemical Industry SITPChem.
An important event of the conference was the presentation of awards “Engineer of the Chemical Industry” and statuettes depicting Prof. Ignacy Moscicki, promoting outstanding professionals with particular emphasis on their entrepreneurship and innovation, professional achievements and its importance for the development and position of the chemical industry in Poland and its functioning in the free market economy.
The conference program included three thematic sessions:
- Education and Science
- Development and Technology
- Environmental Protection
Prof. Miroslawa El Fray participated in the Development and Technology session, delivering a lecture titled “ Perspectives for the development of biodegradable polymers”. In addition, she participated in the debate titled. “Environmental Protection” addressing not only aspects of sustainable economic, social, and environmental development, including closed-loop economy and decarbonization, but also effective cooperation between science and industry.
Also participating in the conference was Prof. Rafal Rakoczy, who during the Education and Science session presented a lecture entitled “Chemical engineering - challenges and development of the ‘daughter’ of chemistry,” emphasizing the importance of innovation and education in this field.
