In less than two months, defenses of two doctoral theses carried out in the Department of Polymer and Biomaterials Science within the Doctoral School at ZUT were held. Public defense of the doctoral thesis of Ms. Martyna Sokołowska, M.Sc., entitled "Monomers from renewable sources in the synthesis of sustainable polyesters for medical applications" took place on March 18, 2024.
On the other hand, on May 10, 2024, the public defense of the doctoral thesis of Mr. Moein Zarei, M.Sc., entitled "Biodegradable and biomimetic fibrous composites of hierarchical structure" was held. The reviewers of the thesis were prominent specialists in materials engineering and chemical sciences from leading national universities and a unit of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The reviewers in both cases appreciated the high quality of the completed research and requested that the reviewed doctoral thesis will be awarded with Cum laude.
