During the eighth edition of the Intelligent Development Forum, held in Uniejów (PL), October 19-20, 2023, GREEN-MAP project team coordinated by prof. Miroslawa El Fray was awarded with Polish Intelligent Development Award 2023 for implementing an innovative project with the overarching goal of enabling a circular economy in the disposable medical devices and packaging industry. The project is the first to integrate the knowledge and experience of an international research team in the development of biobased and biodegradable polymeric materials in this sector. The award was also given for an attitude aimed at actively building a positive, as well as interesting, image of Polish science and R&D work among the public.
The Intelligent Development Forum is a "unique congress of the future," a unique scientific and technological event dedicated to the dissemination of cutting-edge scientific research and innovative technologies that have great chance of market success and improving the standard and safety of our lives now or in the coming years.
This national congress serves to establish lasting relationships between visionary entrepreneurs, outstanding Polish scientists focused on cooperation with business, investors and local government officials creating attractive conditions for locating business in their regions.
Prof. El Fray has also been awarded the Prize “Scientist of the Future 2023” in the category: “Woman of Science Who Changes the World”.
