We kindly invite you to the inaugural seminar of the Materials Science and Engineering seminar series, which will be delivered by Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini (University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany and Imperial College London, UK). The title of the lecture will be "Bioactive materials and bioprinting: Progress and challenges for applications in tissue engineering (format: pdf, rozmiar: 71 kB)". Prof. Boccaccini (format: pdf, rozmiar: 40 kB) is a world-renowned researcher in the field ceramics, bioglass, and composites for a wide range of applications, including biomedicine. As author of more than 900 scientific publications and 25 book chapters, his works have been cited more than 46 thousand times (h-index = 94)—he was identified as one of the most cited scientists in 2014 and 2018. Prof. Boccaccini is Editor-in-Chief of Materials Letters (IF=3.204), a member of many international scientific organizations, including the American Ceramic Society and the European Society for Biomaterials, and an expert on European Research Council (ERC) evaluation panels. His current research interests involve modern polymeric and composite materials, as well as their manufacturing techniques—especially 3D (bio)printing.
The seminar will take place on May 24, 2021 at 14:00 CEST via the MS Teams platform.
If you are interested in attending, please register by e-mail by 10:00 CEST on May 24, 2021: informatyk-wtiich@zut.edu.pl
